The AggieSpirit bus system is Texas A&M’s free transit network, open to all students with a valid TAMU or Blinn ID. Every route, no matter what it’s called or where it starts, connects to the same place: the MSC hub on campus, right in the heart of Texas A&M. That means if your apartment is on the bus route, you have a direct, free ride to class without ever needing a car or a parking pass.
This guide covers five student apartment communities in College Station with AggieSpirit access and breaks down exactly which routes serve each one and how close the nearest stop is so you can compare before you sign.

The Heights

The Heights is located at 3055 Holleman Dr S, with the Holleman @ General bus stop 440 feet from the property, about a one-minute walk. From that stop, residents can board Route 41 (Good Bull) or the 40-41 Break, Nights and Weekends combined route, both running directly to the MSC hub on campus.
The community is completing renovations with all updates finished before August 2026 move-ins, making it one of the most value-forward options on the bus route for students who want more space for their money. Floor plans run from two to five bedrooms in cottage-style layouts.
Redpoint College Station

Redpoint is located at 2045 Jones Butler Rd, with the Jones Butler @ Harvey Mitchell stop just 341 feet away, the closest stop-to-door distance on this list. Residents can board Route 41 (Good Bull) or the 40-41 Break, Nights and Weekends route to campus. Route 31 (Elephant Walk) is also accessible at 0.3 miles for additional flexibility. Buses on the main route run every 15 minutes on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to midnight during the semester.
Park West

Park West is located at 503 George Bush Dr, and is the best-served property on this list for transit and the only one that is also walkable to campus. The closest stop is the dedicated Park West stop on Route 08 (Howdy) just 180 feet from the property. The Penberthy @ Park West stop 0.1 miles away adds Routes 35 (Hullabaloo), 36 (Matthew Gaines), 40 (Century Tree), 40-41 (Break, Nights and Weekends) and 41 (Good Bull), six routes total connecting to the MSC hub.
The property sits directly across from Kyle Field on the west side of Texas A&M, so for students on the west side of campus, it’s a short walk to class.
The Barracks

The Barracks is located at 514 Deacon Dr W, with the Deacon West stop 0.2 miles from the property, served by Route 41 (Good Bull), Route 34 (Fish Camp) and Route 40-41 (Break, Nights and Weekends).
2818 Apartments

2818 Apartments is located at 1300 Harvey Mitchell Pkwy S, with two nearby stops within 0.1 miles: the dedicated 2818 stop served by Route 40 (Century Tree) outbound and the Holleman South stop served by Route 40 inbound and the 40-41 Break, Nights and Weekends route.
Every community on this list gets you to the MSC hub on campus for free on the AggieSpirit bus. The difference comes down to how many routes serve your stop, how far the walk is and what kind of living situation works best for your group.
Park West has six AggieSpirit routes serving stops within 180 feet of the front door and is the only community on this list that is also walkable to campus. If you want the closest stop to your front door, Redpoint wins at just 341 feet. And if you want the most space for your money without sacrificing bus access, The Heights is worth a closer look.
